This machine centre  is suitable for chamfer-grinding of square-sized mono- or multi-crystalline silicon workpieces in the angle of 45°. It is constructed for the workpiece format of up to a max. 200 x 200 mm² with a workpiece length up to max. 400 mm. The centre consists of three stations (station for loading and unloading as well as turning, measuring station and grinding station), which are working simultaneously during grinding process. This guarantees a very high throughput.

This fully automatically working machine centre excels by the following advantages:

■ Automatic edge detection and infeed of grinding tools with length detection of workpiece for an optimized processing time with the application of measuring systems with high resolution.

■ Collection and evaluation of  workpiece-specific quality data after grinding, for instance dimensions of chamfer, chippings and undgrinded chamfer sectors due to defects in workpieces including evaluation of usable workpiece lengths.

■ Automatic compensation of process-related tool abrasion.

■ Same dimension of chamfer by NC-controlled cup wheels – even in case of rougher production tolerances

■ Optimal grinding pattern achieved by high stiffness of machine constructions as well as pre-clamped guiding and bearing systems.

■ Dry bricks after the process
